It was noticed at the last Equipment Care Inspection (ECI) in December 09 that as a unit we were not using the correct management sheets for weapons from the Brigade Unit Equipment Care Directive (UECD). Find attached the desired sheets that are required to be used throughout 2 Hldrs ACF. These sheets are to be used with effect from Jan 10, all other sheets held are to be destroyed. Any unserviceable weapons are also to be labelled. Labels can be obtained from the QM.

These management sheets have been incorporated into BSOP 4-1, which will updated in due course. In the meantime they can be downloaded from the Battalion web site below.

The Battalion requires more adult instructors to have Adventure Training Qualifications, so that we can provide a wide range of AT activities for the cadets.

CCAT (Cadets Centre for Adventure Training) run several courses a year from Hill walking to Rock Climbing to Kayaking. for more dtails, please look at the link http://www.armycadetadventure.info/. There are a couple of courses available that CCAT do not have available, like Mountain Biking Leader etc. so we are not restricted to only what CCAT can provide.

A lot of these courses take a long time to become qualified but if you have an interest in doing any of them then please phone or email me so we can discuss your options. If you have started
